HBH Letters Collection Vol. 1

Finally, we managed to put up the first installment of scans from the collection of Norwegian C64 & Amiga scener HBH (a.k.a. Sorry Morry, a.k.a. ZTH), who had kindly sent it to us back in 2023. Spanning from 1987 to 1989, this batch includes a couple of party invitations, an advert for the German “News” papermag, and a bunch of letters from all over the world. Highlights include a detailed latter from US-American C64 sysop John a.k.a. Mad Hatter of Purple Dragon BBS, in which he describes copy parties in the USA, as well as a swapletter from Switzerland written on the back of a flyer from a fishmonger which still exists and which the editor of this website walks by every day. :)

As always, the images can be viewed in the gallery below, and the hi-res scans, complete with metadata sheets, can be accessed from the links in this list:

Old Papermags from AVH, Part 2

It turns out that we forgot to put online some of the C64 papermags that AVH/Radwar generously provided to us back in 2019. And what a treasure trove this is! A completely lost issue of CCCP (#3), a better scan of another CCCP issue (#9), and a whole bunch of Illegal issues that had been preserved only as type-ups before. Now you can enjoy the real scans, featuring lots of graphics and the famous Cracker Map of 1988!

• CCCP #3, 1989 [PDF]
• CCCP #9, 1991 [PDF] [Demozoo]
• Illegal #22, 1987 [PDF] [Demozoo]
• Illegal #24, 1988 [PDF] [Demozoo]

HBH Collection: Lost Mag from 1988

Not only are we back, but we also have exciting news: HBH, a Norwegian C64 scener active in the late 1980s and early 1990s, sent us a full box of letters and flyers. The treasure trove is currently being scanned and will start appearing here very soon. Here’s a sneak peek: Brainstorm, a small C64/Amiga paper zine published in 1988 by the Dutch C64 group Fire-Eagle. Only an advert demo for it has survived, the mag itself was considered lost. You can download a high resolution PDF here or browse the pages in the gallery below.

Old Papermags from AVH

Here we go again with some old C64 cracker magazines supplied by AVH/Radwar. Some of them have been missing in action, some other have been circulating in lower-quality scans before. You can browse the covers in the gallery below, and download the PDFs from our archive. The Demozoo links provide credits for the mags’ content.
